5 Things You Should Know Today: Oct. 27

From events to gas prices to the weather, we've got info important to Northville today.

  1. Northville weather: There's a 40 percent chance of showers today, according to the National Weather Service. Mostly cloudy skies with a high near 48 degrees. In the evening, the NWS forecasts partly cloudy skies and a low temperature around 30 degrees.
  2. The lowest reported gasoline price in the Northville area – as of late Wednesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com – is $3.29 per gallon. That price is reported to be available at the Sunoco station at Five Mile and Haggerty roads.
  3. There will be a drop-in storytime at the Northville District Library at 10:15 a.m. All ages are welcome to attend but caregivers must accompany children ages 3 and under.
  4. The Wayne 11th Congressional District Republican Committee is hosting a roast in honor of former state senator Bruce Patterson (MI District 7). Cocktails will be served from 6:15-7 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Tickets for are $100/person.
