Northville Historical Society Prepares for Cemetery Walk

The annual event will take place on Sept. 16 from 3-6 p.m.

"Stroll Down Dunlap Street" is the theme for this year’s annual Cemetery Walk.

Who are the pioneers buried at Oakwood Cemetery? Where did they come from? This year will focus on people associated with Dunlap Street, featuring exciting all new costumed characters. Discover Northville’s roots and learn about their lives and the formation of this lovely town while enjoying a walk through time in this historic cemetery.

The annual event will take place on Sept. 16 from 3-6 p.m.

Tours are timed at 10-minute intervals. Refreshments will be served at the located next to the cemetery. Tickets are $10 adults $8 groups of 10 or more and $15 day of event. Tickets are available at:

  • Cady Inn at Mill Race Village 215 Griswold north of Main St. in Northville Mon-Fri 9 - 1 p.m. and on Sunday afternoons in Mead’s General Store 1– 4 p.m. (248 348-1845)
  • The gate of Oakwood Cemetery on Sunday, Sept. 16 beginning at noon.
