No town in Michigan knows how to ring in the Halloween season like Northville.
On Friday night, there was a performance of Michael Jackson's Thriller dance in Northville's Town Square. The show was followed by a ribbon cutting, which unveiled more than 40 skeletons displayed throughout downtown Northville.
The decorated skeletons, returning to Northville for a second year, have doubled in number since last year, said Northville Downtown Development Authority Director Lori Ward. They are sponsored by local businesses and designed to different themes.
It's a way to attract people to the streets of downtown Northville, she said. The skeletons will be on display throughout October. In addition, the city will be host to a series of other events celebrating the Halloween season such as the Car Tunes Show on Saturday.
