We're at the midweek point, one day closer to the weekend. We have plenty of activities and events to recommend. So far we've suggested the Owl Prowl at Maybury State Park and the Northville Holiday Art Market.

• Why Go: It's time for the Jingle Bell Run/Walk, a race benefiting the Arthritis Foundation and to raise awareness about and to help cure arthritis, a disease that affects all ages, all races and all walks of life. Red Wing Jimmy Howard and local Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis patient Taylor Gray will be in attendance. Besides the race, participants can win awards, attend the post-race party, and kids can take part in the 1/4-mile "Snowman Shuffle."
