Weekend Planner: Bells, Three Cedars Christmas Returns, and More

Friday's finally here! Let help Patch plan.

It's getting closer to it being officially wintertime, but let's be warmed that Friday, Saturday and Sunday are upon us. So let's run through what's going on around town:

A Three Cedars Christmas

  • Where: Three Cedars Farm
  • When: 4-8 p.m. today and Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. Sunday
  • Pricing: Donations will be accepted, which will go to Active Faith Community Services
  • Why Go: Christmas is returning to Three Cedars Farm. It's a bit scaled down from last year, but the most important thing is this popular tradition is back. Owners Gary and Sherry Whitaker will host "Country Christmas," where kids can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, plus enjoy free cider and donuts.

SADD Students Host Movie Night

  • Where: Northville High School
  • When: 7 p.m. today
  • Pricing: Free
  • Why Go: Northville High School's Students Against Destructive Decisions group is hosting a free movie night for children. Kids will enjoy a craft, games, snacks and a viewing of The Polar Express.

Ward Church's Christmas Bell Fest

  • Where:
  • When: 7:30-9 p.m. Saturday
  • Pricing: Freewill donations accepted
  • Why Go: Ward Church holds its Christmas Bell Fest concert, featuring the Detroit Handbell Ensemble, Ringers and Singers, the Chancel Singers (Ward Church's handbell choir), the Mount Clemens Presbyterian Handbell Choir and organist Dr. Carole Halmekangas.

More events

  • Sample Sale at , 9 a.m.-6 p.m. today and Saturday benefits Dress for Success of Michigan. Please bring a new pair of stockings as a donation/admission, and enjoy big-time bargains.
  • The Importance of Being Earnest ends its run at the this weekend with a show 8 p.m. today, and 3 and 8 p.m. Saturday. $26-$30.
  • Santa Claus will be at noon-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday before heading off to the North Pole. Admission is a toy or a canned food donation.
  • Beauty and the Beast continues at the , 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, $8.50.
