Guinness World Record Lightning Game Attempt

The public is invited to be a part of
the largest ever Lightning basketball event on December 14,
2013.

Lightning, also called Elimination or Knockout, is a fast-paced basketball shooting
game meant to be played with several participants.

The rules of the game, which is played
with two basketballs, are simple.  Participants
line up and shoot from the free-throw line. Only after the first person shoots
can the second person go ahead.  If a
participant doesn't make the ball into the basket, he or she can shoot from any
point on the floor. Once the ball goes through the hoop, that person passes it
on to the next person in line and goes to the back of the line.  If the second player makes a basket before the
first makes a shorter shot, the first is "knocked out."  The game continues until all but one player is
“knocked out”.

Event organizers hope to draw more than 700 participants in order to break the
current world record and earn a place in history. And we intend to have a lot
of fun in breaking the record!

The event is sponsored by Team Lisa
and all proceeds will go to the Lisa Christensen Memorial Fund for the benefit
of her children.
