Sports & your daughter!

The next series of brief articles will talk about sports and the benefit to our daughters.  We know the obvious health benefits, but what about the physiological, sociological and socio-cultural benefits of sports participation and girls.   Did you know:
1.Girls and women who play sports have higher levels of confidence and self-esteem and lower levels of depression. 
2.Girls and women who play sports have a more positive body image and experience high states of psychological well-being.
3. Sports is the opportunity to learn about teamwork, goal-setting, the pursuit of excellent in performance and other achievement-oriented behaviors-critical skills necessary for success in the workplace.
