Breast Cancer Support Group Seeks $5K for 'Brave Bellas'

Beautiful Bellas is a Northville-based support group of and for 60 women battling breast cancer.

The group — made up of women of all ages, backgrounds and ethnicities — formed via Facebook to support each other through every stage of breast cancer. They turned to crowd-funding website GoFundMe.com to raise funds for members of the group. 

"Many of us have never experienced financial hardship and find ourselves struggling to put food on the table, pay our bills, and go through grueling treatments. This disease takes its toll on singles, couples and families alike. Many of us are unable to work during this time which has contributed to our physical and emotional stress. As you know, Women are a proud group and don't like to ask others for help. So we have banded together to support our extended family of sisters during this crisis," reads the GoFundMe.com campaign page.
