Northville Residents Receive Hero Award
Northville residents Leon and Mary Ellen Judd were honored last month for their work supporting those with mental illness.
Northville residents Leon and Mary Ellen Judd were honored as heroes by the Oakland County Community Mental Health Authority (OCCMHA).
They received the September Hero Award during the organization’s monthly board meeting last month.
The Judds have been advocating for people with mental illness for almost 20 years. They are two of the original founders of National Alliance on Mental Illness Metro, a non-profit organization dedicated to people with serious mental illness and their families, according to OCCMHA.
