Mustang Holiday Tourney Preview

The Mustang Men and women both jump back into action this weekend in the annual Mustang Holiday Tournament, hosted at NHS.  It is expected to be a spectacular event featuring strong competition and thrilling fast paced play.

On the men's side of the bracket, Clarenceville, Saline, And Troy Athens join the Mustangs in what might be the strongest field ever.  Coach Todd Sander says, 'we will be stretched to the limit to compete well with these teams', but, he adds, 'we expect to get the best out of our players.  They are excited to get back into action, and have been practicing with a lot of spirit!.'

'Our seniors have really caught fire in the last two games, and we feel confident they will lead us well.  Just as encouraging is the play of our underclassmen.  Although they started the season rather tentatively, they are growing, learning, and contributing far more than we expected at this early point in the season.  Overall, we are very optimistic about our chances in The Mustang Classic, and in the season ahead of us.'
