Mustangs Stampede to Victory

In a complete team effort, the NHS Boys put it all together to coast to an easy but valuable win over Franklin in the KVAA.  They came roaring out of the starting gate to a 20-4 first quarter and never looked back.  Every Mustang got significant action and contributed to the 64-33 final.  Speaking of contributions, once again the Mustang X-factor......our loyal and boisterous fans......made life difficult for the opposing players.  Creative, loyal and loud were the terms Coach Sander used to describe the NHS student supporters.

Senior Andrew Meacham led all scorers with 17 marks and 14 rebounds.  Junior David Morrissey had a breakout game, finishing with 12 big points while senior Andrew Stevens added 11.  Senior guard Adam Monroe led Franklin with 13.

It was a great night in the gym for Northville.  Our Frosh led off with a 42-23 victory, the JV squad started slowly, but exploded to a 65-28 finish.  So basketball was 3-0 on the evening.  If that were not enough, at halftime, we gave tribute to our 2013 Girls Cross Country team for their STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!

To top off the evening, our students and players celebrated  the big night with a grand post game pizza party provided by Northville's own Pizza Cutter.  Next action will be this Thursday evening at Livonia Churchill with the Frosh tipping at 4:00, the JV squad at approximately 5:30, and the Varsity around 7:00.
