Thurs Eve "Open" Volleyball in Northville

Stopped by for the first time in months to play open volleyball at 7pm at Hillside Rec Ctr.  It turns out it's not necessarily focused primarily on Northville residents, and not all that "open".  In a span of almost 1.5 hrs, I was allowed to play only two games, while most others played the majority of their time in the gym.  What happened is that it took a while to get a team to accept me, then, when more players showed up, team compositions changed based on ethnicity and clique membership and yours truly got kicked to the curb! It seems that most players are part of an established clique or ethnic group that plays together.  When I complained to Rec Supervisor Josh, he said: "I can't control all these people!" to which I responded: "Then why are you here?" His retort: "To just collect the money."                                    
I wonder if those who kept me off the court even live in Northville!
