Northville Township Supervisor Endorses Nix, Banner in Upcoming Election

In a letter to the editor, Mark Abbo makes endorsements for the August primary.

The following letter was submitted by Mark Abbo, Northville Township supervisor. .

Editor:

I’m sure many of you have noted in your work careers that the ways a person exercises judgment, decision-making, and objective thinking are not always evident during the job interview process. Those attributes are best observed when they are actually performing “on the job”.  I’ve worked very close politically with two of the three candidates for Northville Township Supervisor, as well as both of the candidates for Northville Township Treasurer.

Based on my observations, the candidates I see as the most forward thinkers, objective decision makers, and consensus builders are Bob Nix and Margie Banner.  Mr. Nix has spent 10 years with the Township Planning Commission and was recently listed in Detroit’s Best Lawyers for 2012.  He has also been listed in the Best Lawyers in America since 1990.  Ms. Banner has spent 12 years as a Township Trustee, 16 years on the Zoning Board of Appeals, and was the first chair of Northville Township Historical District Commission. Both have been advocates for Northville in many, many other ways.

On August 7, I will be voting for Bob Nix for Supervisor and Margie Banner for Treasurer, and encourage the voters of Northville Township to do so as well.
