Wayne county is peppered with some great options for eating Veg, with some already shared in earlier comments. Will definitely try the Fort Street's black bean burger! The addition of Seva in Detroit is a welcomed face for the Veg community, as is the amazing Raw Cafe also in Midtown. Ethnic cuisine tends to be friendly to eating veg like Middle Eastern, Thai, Indian, Mexican, Italian, Greek and some Chinese restaurants, the gap is in the more traditional or "American" style eateries. One of the biggest "sleepers" we have found to date is a small Chinese restaurant in East Dearborn called Red Star. They not only can prepare dishes with tofu or cashews instead of meat, but they also offer nearly ANY dish prepared with vegan meat. This makes them notable compared with other Chinese restaurants we have enjoyed and I just wanted to share in case others do not know this secret. However, my favorite Veg friendly eatery is still Bangkok 96, their food is sensational. Enjoy!

Seva is a favorite of mine, too. I checked out the new Detroit location about a week ago. It's going to be hard not to make that a regular hangout. They have a large dining room option as well as a separate bar area down a short hallway. They don't have as large of a menu as the Ann Arbor location, but what is there offers plenty of choices to fill you up and leave you coming back for more.

I have to second the Bangkok 96 nomination. Their vegan fresh rolls are amazing, and they're always willing to cater to the requests of diners.

Bangkok 96 has my vote along with Red Star. They both serve hand crafted food that is infused with flavor and love. Bonus that they are very inexpensive.
