2 Men Trespass at Northville Psychiatric Hospital

The following information was supplied by Northville Township police.

Two men were caught trespassing at the former Northville Psychiatric Hospital around 9 p.m. May 17, according to a Northville Township police report.

An officer saw two men in a gray 2012 Ford Escape on Wayne Avenue near the maintenance building, the report said. They said they were trying to find a place to turn around and did see the no trespassing signs, according to the report.

The officer saw a flashlight in the driver’s side door, the report said, and the driver told the officer they were there to check out the abandoned property. The men said they grew up in Livonia and had heard what was there, according to the report.

The officer cited and released the men on scene for trespassing, the report said. They have an 8:30 a.m. hearing June 5 at 35th District Court.
