Crime Report: Catalytic Converter Reported Stolen From Car in Northville

The following information was supplied by the City of Northville Police Department and Northville Township's Public Safety Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Catalytic converter reported stolen

  • Sometime between June 17 and 18, the catalytic converter of a car parked on the 17000 block of Hidden Way was reported stolen. According to township police reports, the catalytic converter had been seen out and the car likely had to be raised on a jack to get access to it.
  • Someone attempted to steal the catalytic converter of a car parked outside of apartments at Northville Place Drive on June 18. According to township police reports, the exhaust system was resting on the ground, with saw marks on it. It was not successfully stolen.

Car reported keyed

A car parked at the Cedar Lake apartments near Northville and Six Mile roads was keyed on June 19, according to township police reports. The car had damage on the hood, trunk and sides of the vehicle.

Luggage reported stolen

A woman on the 44000 block of Broadmoor Circle reported to township police that luggage was stolen from driveway on June 20. According to the police report, it contained clothing.

Vehicle break-ins reported

  • Two vehicles parked inside of a garage on the 45000 block of Riviera Drive were broken into on June 21, according to township police reports. The garage was open. A wallet was stolen from the front seat of one of the vehicles but nothing was stolen from the other, accoding to the report.
  • Two cars parked on the 45000 block of Pebble Beach Ct. were broken into on June 20, according to township police reports. A GPS and other electronics were stolen along with cash and credit cards.

Man cited for public urination

A 51-year-old Northville man was cited on June 23 for public urination. According to a city police report, the man was spotted by the Saw Mill furniture store urinating in the bushes.

He claimed to police that it was not him, according to the report. However, police found a fresh pool of urine in the spot he was standing in.

Woman claims she was assaulted by former boss

A woman working at a facility in the city reported to Northville city police that she was physically assaulted by her former boss when she came to pick up her last paycheck on June 21.

According to city police reports, the woman told police that she quit the job because of a disagreement with her boss about her hours. She told police that she was scratched during the dispute with her former boss and that she wanted to press charges against her former boss.

Her boss told police that she did not assault her former employee.

Man pulled over for drunk driving, blows 0.4 breathalyzer

A city of Northville man was pulled over on June 19 on the suspicion of drunken driving. According to city police reports, the man was asked to walk heel-to-toe and could not do so. Police reports say that he fell backward onto his car and then slumped to the ground.

Police called paramedics due to his level of drunkenness, according to the report. A breathalyzer test showed he was well over the .08 percent legal limit of intoxication. The man, according to the police report, tested at 0.4 percent.
