Crime Report: Paintings Reported Missing From Downtown Shop

The following information was supplied by the City of Northville Police Department and Northville Township's Public Safety Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Paintings reported stolen

Two $26 paintings are missing from Pear-Aphernalia on Main Street, according to Northville city police reports.

Jeep reported stolen

A Northville Township resident reported to police on Feb. 14 that his wife's son had stolen her 2005 Jeep. While on vacation, the couple allowed the man to use the Jeep but the man never returned it, according to township police reports. The man is also accused of stealing the couple's television and an unspecified amount of cash.

Wallet reported stolen at Meijer

A man reported to police that on Feb. 14 while he was using the self-checkout at Meijer, he laid down his wallet and it was stolen, according to township police reports. He went to another store after leaving the wallet at Meijer and realized it was missing. According to the report, he learned later that the card was used soon after it was left behind in Novi, Farmington Hills and eventually in Ohio.

Man steals Home Depot drills

A man was seen stealing two cordless drills from Home Depot on Feb. 16, according to township police reports. A witness told police the man pulled the two drills from his cart near the door and ran out of the store, after triggering the alarm. He was not caught.
