Crime Report: Seven Mile Property Trespassers Cited

Trespassers cited at Seven Mile property

  • Northville Township police officers issued citations on Feb. 12 for four men accused of trespassing on the former psychiatric hospital property on Seven Mile Road. The men told police they wanted to check out how "spooky" it is, according to township police reports. They were issued trespassing citations, released at the site and are due to appear in the 35th District Court in late February.
  • Township police, using night vision equipment, spotted two people trespassing on the Seven Mile property on Feb. 7. The pair told police they were there "just for the thrill of it," according to the police report. The two were cited at the scene, released and due to appear in the 35th District Court in late February.

Car damage reported

A woman reported to Northville Township police on Feb. 9 that the hood and sides of her car had been scratched while parked on the 19000 block of Smock Street.

Car break-in at downtown parking lot

A woman saw an unknown man sitting in the driver's seat of her car when she approached it on Feb. 8, according to city police reports. The man got out and was spotted by others in the E. Cady Street lot where it was parked. According to the police report, the man stole a wallet and CDs. He was not caught.
