Crime Report: Seven Mile Trespassers Arrested For Marijuana Possession, Warrant
The following information was supplied by the City of Northville Police Department and Northville Township's Public Safety Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Seven Mile trespassers arrested
Northville Township police caught five young men trespassing on the Seven Mile property on June 15, according to township police reports. Two of them were ultimately arrested on other charges.
One of the men told police he lived near the former psychiatric hospital and that they walked over from there. A 19-year-old from Detroit was found with marijuana during a search, according to the report. He was charged with possession of marijuana and was arrested. Another had a warrant out of Livonia and was turned over to Livonia police.
All five were cited for trespassing.

Accused shoplifter arrested
An 18-year-old Northville man was arrested on June 12 after he was spotted shoplifting by Meijer store security, according to township police reports.
The man was seen by store security coming into the store with empty bags in his cart, which he was reportedly seen filling later, according to police reports.

Later, he went to a self-scan register and paid for one item then left without paying for about $137 in other items, according to the report. He was arrested by township police and charged with larceny.
Firework use, prohibited in city, reported
A city resident reported to police that his neighbor had used fireworks around 10 p.m. on June 17, according to Northville city police reports.
The use of fireworks in the city is prohibited by ordinance. They were used during a graduation party, according to the police report.
