Crime Report: Several Car Break-ins, Retail Fraud Reported

The following information was supplied by Northville Township's Public Safety Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Statue damage reported

Around 8 p.m. Friday, a statue outside of a house on the 42000 block of Bradner Road was broken, a resident reported to Northville Township Police. The resident told police that the statue’s wing and head were broken off.

Car break-ins reported

  • Sometime in the overnight hours Saturday, a GPS was reported stolen from the 19000 block of Scenic Harbour Drive, according to township police reports. It is valued at $250. No other items were reported stolen.
  • A wallet was reported stolen sometime Sunday from an unlocked car outside a home on the 19000 block of Granite Court, according to township police reports. There were two vehicles in the home’s driveway, and both were broken into, police said. According to reports, the only thing stolen was the wallet from the center console of one car.
  • Two vehicles parked in the driveway of a home on the 19000 block of Scenic Harbour Drive were broken into Sunday, according to township police reports. A pair of sunglasses was the only item reported stolen from either vehicle.

Car reported stolen

A car was reported stolen from near Six Mile and Northville Road in the overnight hours Friday. According to township police reports, the green 1997 Ford Taurus was parked in a carport.

Northville Township woman arrested on charges of retail fraud

A 37-year-old Northville Township woman was arrested Friday on charges of retail fraud. According to township police reports, store security workers say they saw the woman conceal items valued at $34 in her purse before she left the store. She was approached by store security and later was arrested by township police, the report said. She was charged with larceny, released on a $500 bond and is due to appear in the 35th District Court in mid-December.
