Crime Report: Thrill-Seeking Trespassers Arrested, Riding Mower Stolen

Four cited for trespassing at former psychiatric hospital site
During a routine check of the Seven Mile property, the former psychiatric hospital site, Northville Township police discovered four people trespassing on May 7 at around 1:45 a.m.
According to police reports, the four said they heard about the property online and checked it out "because they wanted to be scared and see ghosts."
They were issued trespassing citations and are due to appear in the 35th District Court in late May.

Riding mower stolen
On May 6, a man on the 19000 block of Maxwell Road reported to township police that his riding mower had been stolen. He also said his chainsaw had been stolen.
Car's catalytic converter reported stolen
An employee of Kohl's department store on Haggerty Road reported to township police that her car's catalytic converter had been stolen. The incident happened during her eight-hour shift on May 1, according to township police reports.

Lumber reported stolen
A man reported to township police that lumber, from a site where a fence was being built, was stolen on May 2. According to township police reports, the lumber was left just along the roadway overnight.
Vehicle damaged
A Northville woman reported to township police that while visiting her son, her vehicle had been vandalized on May 7. According to police reports, the woman was visiting him at the Northridge Apartments. Someone scratched a star into the vehicle paint and left a dent.
