Traffic Stop in Northville Leads to Arrest For Marijuana Possession

Livonia man arrested on charges of marijuana possession

A 28-year-old Livonia man was arrested on Aug. 26 on charges of marijuana possession after a traffic stop, according to city of Northville police reports.

Police say the man went through a stop sign at Seven Mile Road and River Street. When he was stopped and asked for his identification, he reached into a bag where an officer caught a glimpse of a pipe, according to the report.

He was given a citation for possession of marijuana and is due to appear in the 35th District Court in September.

Vehicle break-ins reported

  • A vehicle parked on the 17000 block of Oak Hill Drive was broken into, according to Northville Township police reports. The contents of the center console were moved around but nothing was reported stolen.
  • A container with coins and a GPS device were reported stolen from an unlocked car on the 16000 block of Dunswood Drive, according to township police reports.
