Fight Breaks Out with Minor at Northville Bar

City of Northville police provided this information.

A fight broke out at about 1 a.m. Nov. 28 at Brick’s of Northville, according to a City of Northville police report.

A 20-year-old Northville man, who was bleeding heavily from his left eye, said he was standing by the bar at the restaurant, 133 West Main St., when a stranger suddenly punched him, the report said.

The officer attempted to locate the other individual involved in the altercation. The officer saw a 23-year-old Novi man bleeding from his right eye who said he was standing by the bar when a stranger spilled a drink on him, the report said. He said someone then punched him in the face and he punched back, according to the report. The officer asked him if the 20-year-old Northville man was the person with whom he had fought, and he said he was 90 percent sure, the report said.

Police found a fake Ohio I.D. inside the 20-year-old Northville man’s wallet, according to the report. The man said he had the I.D. for about six months and used it to get into the bar. He was issued an appearance citation for possession of a fraudulent I.D. and for being a minor in possession of alcohol, the report said.
