A Grosse Pointe Park man was found guilty Thursday of strangling his neighbor last May and will be sentenced next month.

Myron Williams, 42, was convicted of first-degree felony murder and unarmed robbery by a Wayne County Jury in the May death of 35-year-old Sabrina Gianino, the Detroit News reports.

He faces up to life in prison when he is sentenced April 8 by Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Ulysses Boykin.

Gianino was found dead May 16  and her death was ruled a homicide by strangulation the next day following an autopsy.

Williams, a truck driver with an extensive criminal background that includes drug offenses, had items stolen during a robbery in Gianino’s home in his possession when he was arrested.
