Man Arrested for Stealing 2 Vacuums from Meijer

The following information was provided by the Northville Township Public Safety Department.

A 22-year-old male from Taylor was arrested on charges of retail fraud of the third degree after he was seen stealing two vacuums from the Northville Meijer around 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 6, according to a Northville Township police report.

A loss prevention officer at Meijer saw the man select two Dyson vacuums and head to the front doors of the store without stopping to pay, the report said. The loss prevention officer then approached the man in the parking lot, and he dropped the vacuums and got into a car, which then drove away, the report said.

Northville Township police then stopped the car near Eight Mile and Haggerty roads and arrested the man, the report said. The vacuums were recovered from the store parking lot.
