Man Arrested on Expired License Warrant from Pittsfield Township

The following information was provided by the Northville Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

A Northville Township Police officer was stopped in the parking lot of the Macaroni Grill, 39500 Seven Mile Road, when a driver was observed making an illegal turn on a red light.

Dispatchers told the officer the vehicle owner had two warrants out of Pittsfield Township for an expired license and plates. The driver was taken to the Plymouth Township fire station on Beck Road, where he was handed over to Pittsfield Township police and his vehicle was handed over to his mother, who was a passenger in the vehicle. The driver also was cited on the no-turn-on-red violation.

Driver arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license

Northville Township Police stopped a vehicle Aug. 17 at 7 Mile and Haggerty roads after a random check revealed the driver had a suspended license, according to a police report.

The driver told police he had some old tickets and had set up a court date, but had never heard from the court in Southfield.

Police arrested the man on charges of driving with a suspended license and his vehicle was turned over to his passenger, who had a valid license. The driver posted $100 cash bond and was released and has a Sept. 5 court date at 35th District Court in Plymouth.
