Northville Police Search for Hit and Run Suspect

A 52-year-old man was struck by a car Friday evening in Northville Township.

A pedestrian was struck around 5:50 p.m. Friday by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Six Mile Road east of Sheldon Road in Northville Township.

The pedestrian, a 52-year-old Detroit man, was working in the area and assisting another employee who was backing a vehicle and trailer out of a driveway toward Six Mile Road, according to Northville Township police. The man was in the road when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle on Six Mile Road. The driver did not stop after the accident and fled the scene, police said.

The man sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, according to police.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a white or silver sedan similar to a Chrysler 200 or a Volkswagen Passat, police said.
