Township man cited for noise ordinance violations
A 30-year-old Northville Township man was cited for a noise violation in the early morning hours of Oct. 6. Police returned later in the day and issued a second violation following numerous neighbor complaints, according to township police reports.
When police responded to calls about a loud party on the 19000 block of Scenic Harbour Drive at about 5 a.m., there were people in the driveway around a large fire.
According to the report, the resident told his guests to move inside. When a police officer told him he wanted to talk to him, the man refused and did not come back out to speak with the officer. He told the officer to write him a ticket. The officer waited to issue his citation for violating the noise ordinance and for leaving the large fire unattended.
Police sent the citations via certified mail, according to the report.
Later in the day, neighbors of the man flagged down an officer with another noise complaint, saying it was a recurring problem, according to the report.
The man was issued a second noise violation citation and is due to appear in the 35th District Court in late October.
Motorcycle reported stolen
A motorcycle was reported stolen from the Highland Lakes condominiums on the 19000 block of Dartmouth Place.
The owner told township police the 2004 Suzuki bike was stolen sometime during the daylight hours on Oct. 3.
