Person Steals Northville Man's $1K Home Depot Gift Card

Northville Township police provided this information.

Someone stole a Northville man’s $1,000 Home Depot gift card on Aug. 27, according to a Northville Township police report.

The man’s wife told police that someone took the envelope containing the card from her front porch on the block of 17000 Rolling Woods Circle after UPS delivered it, the report said.

The man won the card as part of a work-related reward, according to the report.

His wife discovered the card was stolen after she called UPS to inquire about the delivery and learned that it was already delivered, the report said. The woman said they are in the process of remodeling, so there were many tradesmen in and out of their home on that day, according to the report.

The gift card was canceled, the report said.
