Police Arrest Homeless Man for Sleeping at Northville Downs

City of Northville police arrested a homeless man around 3 a.m. Aug. 23 on charges of trespassing, according to a police report.

Police found the man at Northville Downs, 301 South Center St., after getting a call from a member of the building’s cleaning crew about a possible trespasser in the building, the report said. 

Two officers checked the building and found a man sleeping at the far east end of the grand stand area, according to the report. The man admitted that he did this in the past, the report said. The officers discovered that the man also had a warrant for disorderly conduct out of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, according to the report.

The officers arrested him for trespassing and for the warrant.
