Police Arrest Livonia Woman on Charges of Driving Under the Influence
City of Northville police provided this information.
City of Northville police arrested a Livonia woman around 2 a.m. Oct. 19 on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, according to a police report.
An officer saw the driver of a silver Chevrolet Malibu stop at the red light at Center and Main streets and remain stopped while the light turned green and back to red, the report said. The officer ran the plate and discovered it was expired, according to the report.
The driver said she was lost and was trying to get directions to The Wagon Wheel, the report said. The officer smelled intoxicants on her breath and noticed her eyes were bloodshot and her speech was slurred, according to the report.

She said she had two Vodka and Red Bull drinks within the last hour while she and her friends were watching a movie at her house, the report said. Her preliminary breathalyzer test had a result of .11 percent blood alcohol content, according to the report. The legal limit is .08 percent.
The officer arrested her and noticed she had a prior conviction for driving while intoxicated in Romulus, the report said. The officer confiscated her license plate.
