Northville Police Arrest Man on Charges of Driving Under the Influence

The following information was supplied by the Northville Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Northville Township police arrested a man on May 29 on charges of driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, according to a police report. 

An officer was heading to Park Place Apartments for a domestic complaint, the report said. The officer stopped a man on a motorcycle near the 42000 block of East Northville Place Drive because dispatch said he was one of the parties involved in the complaint, according to the report.

The officer asked what was going on with him and his wife, the report said, and the officer could smell alcohol on him. The man said he had two to three beers while watching the Red Wings game, according to the report. Another officer said the man's wife said he was drinking all day, the report said.

The man agreed to a preliminary breathalyzer test, which had a result of .11 percent blood alcohol content, according to the report. The legal limit is .08 percent.

Police arrested him and he posted $200 cash bond.
