Police Raid Area Homes, Businesses

According to reports, several police agencies raided 22 sites across southeast Michigan, including locations in Northville, Canton and Plymouth, in connection to marijuana trafficking.

Homes, businesses and warehouses in Northville, Canton and Plymouth were among the 22 locations raided Monday by federal, county and local police.

According to an article in the Detroit News, the raids were the result of a seven-month investigation into marijuana trafficking in the area.

The article states that the home in Ypsilanti Township that exploded Sunday was also raided.

Few details have been released about the raids, the article states, but at least 500 marijuana plants, a large quantity of processes marijuana and weapons were seized as part of the raids. Several people were also arrested.
