Purse Stolen from Car at Thornton Creek Elementary School

An email from the school principal asks parents who have any information to contact Novi police.

A car was broken into Monday at Thornton Creek Elementary School at around 4 p.m., according to school principal Alison Epler.

According to an email sent out by Epler Monday evening, a mother of a student parked her car in the school's parking lot, locked it and came inside the building. When she came back out to her car, the the passenger side window had been smashed and her purse was missing from the front seat.

Novi police were called and a report was filed, the email said.
