Suspect in Homicide Near Northville to be Arraigned Today

Police arrested a suspect Tuesday for the homicide of an 84-year-old woman whose body they found inside her home near Northville Monday afternoon.

The suspect will be video arraigned from the Novi Police Department Training Center, 45125 Ten Mile Road, at approximately 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release.

An autopsy performed by the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the woman died from asphyxia and stabbing and the manner of death to be homicide, the release said.

At about 2:43 p.m. Monday, Novi police received a 911 call regarding an unresponsive woman in the 20900 block of West Glen Haven Circle in the Country Place condominium complex, north of Eight Mile Road and west of Meadowbrook Road in Novi. Upon arrival, police and fire department personnel discovered the deceased body of the 84-year old woman in her home.
