UPDATE: Romney Wins Majority of Northville's Vote in 2012 Michigan Presidential Primary

NBC reports that Romney is the projected winner in Michiganwith 42 percent of the vote. Rick Santorum is projected to be close behind with 265,939 votes or 37 percent of the vote.

City of Northville precinct results are in:

In total, 1258 votes were cast in the city of 4970 registered voters. Mitt Romney has won the city's vote in both precincts with a total of 639 votes or 50.7 percent of the vote. Rick Santorum garnered 299 votes in the city of Northville or 23.7 percent of the city's vote.  And 113 votes were cast for Democrats, with more than 90 percent of those votes for Barack Obama.

Exactly 104 votes were cast in the city for Ron Paul.

7:45 p.m.

At Amerman Elementary School, 703 votes had come in - in person and by absentee ballot. Although this election differed from previous recent elections in that voters had to choose a Democratic or Republican ballot, there was very little feedback from voters, Precinct 2 chair Alyse Hydel said.

"Nobody questioned it," she said.

7 p.m.

Over at Precinct 3 at , chairman Michelle Conner said that 302 voters had come in by about 7 p.m., an hour before the polls closed. The largest number of voters came in after 5 p.m. Only nine of those voters requested Democratic ballots.

"I think it's low," she said.

Also at the high school were Precinct 4 voters. The high school is one of Northville's largest precincts. By about 7 p.m., 371 votes had come in. Only three voters requested Democratic Party ballots.

"I don't think we were expecting a high turnout," said Precinct 4 chair Debbie Teichman.
