Court Blotter: Marijuana Possession, Assault and Battery and Retail Fraud

The following items are updates on cases in the 35th District Court, which serves Plymouth, Canton and Northville. Not all items, unless otherwise noted, reflect guilty pleas or convictions.

Daniel James Grigg, 23, Northville

• Arrested in Northville and arraigned on charges of possession of a counterfeit prescription form and controlled substance fraud
• Pleaded not guilty on Aug. 1, 2011 and was released on $5,000 bond
• A preliminary exam is scheduled for Aug. 19, 2011

Ryan Richard Knox, 19, Plymouth

• Violated probation in Plymouth Township for two charges of violation of the public health code [VPHC] / drug possession
• Pleaded guilty to both charges on April 18, 2011 and was sentenced to 12 months probation with optional jail time of nine days
• Must continue his probation and pay past due fees of $326 or spend nine days in jail

Timothy Michael Cook, 32, Canton

• Charged with third degree retail fraud for an offense that took place in Canton on July 25, 2011
• The third degree charge is a misdemeanor for stealing goods less than $200, and which carries a punishment of up to 93 days in jail
• Pleaded guilty to the charge and is scheduled for a pre-sentencing interview

Robert NMN Vigh, 22, Belleville

• Violated his probation for possession of marijuana
• The crime occurred in Northville on Aug. 29, 2010 at 4:35 a.m.
• He pleaded guilty to violation of the public health code [VPHC] on Dec. 13, 2010 and was sentenced to 11 months non-reporting probation, in concurrence with his probation in Bloomfield Hills
• On April 25, 2011, a bench warrant was issued for his failure to appear at court.
• He failed to complete one of four days of work detail

Robert Francis Walkiewicz, 46, Pinckney

• Pretrial hearing held on August 1, 2011, for a charge of possession of a dangerous weapon
• The incident occurred in Plymouth on June 27, 2011 at 11:15 a.m.
• He pleaded not guilty to this charge on July 18, 2011

Contrina Denise Reid, 32, Ypsilanti

• Charged with simple larceny for an incident occurring on March 13, 2011, in Canton at 1:46pm
• Released on a $300 bond on April 27, 2011
• Forfeited the bond on June 1, 2011, for failing to appear at court
• Pleaded guilty to the charge on July 12, 2011
• Presentence interview and sentencing hearing held on Aug. 1, 2011

Diane Marie Keeley, 23, Westland

• Violated her delayed sentence on a charge of assault and battery in Canton on Oct. 27, 2010
• Pleaded guilty to the charge on Dec. 20, 2010 and was sentenced to $713 in fines and six months probation
• Violated the terms of her delayed sentence by failing to pay her fines
• If she fails to pay her fines by Sept. 1, 2011, she must spend 18 days in jail
