Tornado Siren Testing

As part of "Severe Weather Awareness Week", the tornado sirens in Northville will sound at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30th. This is a test and a chance for schools to conduct tornado drills. Residents are encouraged to take cover and practice safety drills at home with their children, using the opportunity to explain to them why the sirens sound. The tornado sirens are not just for tornadoes. They are used during high straight winds, too, when residents are advised to take cover to avoid flying debris and falling trees.
