Northville City Council Approves Purchase of New Dump Truck

Here are highlights from Northville's city council meeting on Monday night.

City to buy new dump truck

Northville's city council unanimously approved the purchase of a new dump truck and the selling of an old one at its meeting Monday night.

The new dump truck is in need of repair, Public Works Director Jim Gallogly told the council.

The new 1-ton Ford 550 4x4 dump truck will cost the city $39,693. It will be purchased from Signature Ford of Owosso.

CDBG funds reallocated

The city council also unanimously approved Monday night the reallocation of $36,000 in unused Community Development Block Grant funds from 2010-2011.

The money will be used for improvements at the city-owned Allen Terrace senior community. This includes replacement of the flat roof above the main entrance, 25 emergency exit signs with LED signs and apartment faucets, according to city documents.
