7 Submit Applications For Northville School Board Interim Seat

Some of the applicants were also interviewed to fill a previous vacancy.

Seven people applied to fill a soon-to-be-vacated seat on Northville's school board, according to a alert. The deadline was Thursday.

The applicants seek to replace board member , elected in November 2011, who effective in July. She'll be moving to Germany with her husband and family. The board will conduct interviews on June 25. According to the alert, they may pick an appointee at the special call meeting.

According to the alert, interviews will take place in two groups on June 25, beginning at 7 p.m. The interviews are open to the public and will take place at the board offices at 501 West Main Street in room 302.

The board's appointee will serve until December 2012 and have to run in the November election to keep the seat beyond that.

A celebration will be held in Bartschat's honor at the board meeting at Hillside Middle School on June 26 at 7:30 p.m., according to the alert.
