Amerman's Robin Long Named Elementary History Teacher of the Year
The Michigan Council for History Education selected Long for the 2011 award.
teacher Robin Long was named Michigan's 2011 Elementary History Teacher of the Year Friday.
The Michigan Council for History Education chooses one outstanding teacher to receive the Jim and Annette McConnell Elementary History Teacher of the Year award each year.
Long joined in 1988 and has worked in several buildings across the district.

She will be officially recognized on Nov. 5 at the 2011 Michigan Joint Social Studies Conference at the Causeway Bay Hotel in Lansing, where she will also be presenting.
