School improvements approved

Northville's Board of Education approved two improvements to two of its schools this week.

Using private donation monies, the district approved a bid from Superior Play to install playground equipment at . There were four bidders. According to district documents, Superior Play was not the lowest bidder, at $247,160. However, the district staff committee that suggested the equipment said it appeared to be the most durable and offered the most options for the cost.

The board also approved the replacement of two boilers at Cooke School using . The total cost will be $82,165.
