In Photos: Northville High School's Class of 2011 in Caps and Gowns

The commencement ceremony for Northville High School filled the Compuware Arena in Plymouth Sunday night.

On Sunday evening, 576 seniors graduated from . The commencement ceremony was at the Plymouth Compuware Arena.

Thousands of the graduates' family and friends packed the stands and watched the ceremony that took place from a stage built on the floor of the arena. Also, Leonard Rezmierski gave his last graduation address as the superintendent of Northville Public Schools.

The student president of the , Vincent Sheu, concluded the ceremony with a poetic speech.

"People are determined to scare us, you know. 'You're in the real world now,' they say. 'Work hard if you want to get paid. Kiss up and you might get a raise.' And they may all be true, but why would you ever let it get to you?" he said. "That's not us."

Sheu finished his speech by paying homage to his community.

"There's one thing that we might all have in common: Northville is our community whether we're back from college on summer vacation or [here] every weekend. We've spent a lot of time here and it's been really nice. Thank you for everything, Northville. But I think it's time for us to take that first step out into conquering the real world."
