Northville Girls Soccer Beats Livonia's Stevenson

The Mustangs win the game, 4-0.

The Northville High School Mustangs varsity girls soccer beat Livonia's Stevenson High School at a home game Thursday by a score of 4-0.

The following summary of the game was submitted by Northville girls soccer coach Eric Brucker.

First Half

12th minute: Junior Ashley Peper plays nice pass from the center of the field to the right side of the Spartan penalty box. Junior Jenny Willerer take the pace and floats a shot over the Spartan keeper.

18th minute: Sophomore Kelly McHugh crosses from the left side. Junior Gabby Mencotti volleys the cross into the net.

30th minute: Sophomore Morgan Gozdor plays a slotted through pass between the Spartan defense. Freshmen Kacey Cerretani shoots a low shot into the side netting. 

Second Half

68th minute: Senior Gabbie Guibord threads the needle on a direct kick from 20 yards out. The Spartan keeper never saw the ball until it was in the back of the net. Senior Kiki Hilmer collects another shutout for the Mustangs. She registered two saves.  

Northville moves to 10-1-2; Livonia's Stevenson moves to 5-6-1.

The next game is 7 p.m. Monday at Northville High School against Salem High School.
