Northville Schools Closed Tuesday for Sub-Zero Wind Chills

Wind chills may get as low as -35 degrees Tuesday morning.

Northville Public Schools will be closed Tuesday due to the freezing temperatures.

Southeast Michigan is under a wind chill advisory through Wednesday morning, with real-feel temperatures plunging to 30-35 degrees below zero.

The school board meeting and athletic events will continue as scheduled Tuesday evening, unless families are otherwise notified, according to an email from the district.

"We are concerned about continuing cold temperatures on Wednesday, January 29th and will be monitoring the weather reports carefully," the email said.

This is the fifth snow day for Northville Public Schools since the start of 2014.
