Watch: Chuck Gaidica Visits Moraine Elementary
The Channel 4 meteorologist visits a school in his hometown of Northville.
WDIV-Channel 4 Director of Meteorology Chuck Gaidica paid a special visit to Moraine Elementary School this past Wednesday.
Gaidica, a Northville resident, broadcast live from the school parking lot with the help of Moraine student leaders at noon.
He also read to students and brought along NBC's book bus to collect book donations for those in need as part of NBC's Education Nation program. NBC is taking the bus across Metro Detroit and has already collected 35,000 books for United Way to distribute.

Moraine students collected hundreds of books and met their goal of 41 boxes, according to an email from the Moraine Elementary School listserv.
Detroit Tigers mascot Paws was also at at the school to cheer on the students.
