At the Farmers Market: Native Plant Specialists

Is your dream garden spot a shady woodland nook blooming with ladyslippers, jack-in-the-pulpits and trillium? If so, come to the Northville Farmers' Market on May 3 and meet Lynn and Tim, owners of BETTERFINDS LLC. 

BETTERFINDS specializes in native Michigan plants; wildflowers, small shrubs, perennials and ferns. All of their plants are fully developed and just as you might find them in the wild, ready to bloom and seed. The plants are obtained from legitimate sources or sanctioned plant rescue. Ask Tim for stories about about some of the plant rescue adventures they have had!

BETTERFINDS will be at the Market May 3, May 10 and possibly May 17 if the weather stays cool.  They'll be glad to talk about native plants, transplanting and the special needs of the plants, garden planning, rescues, or just answer questions.

Northville Farmers Market opens Thursday May 3, from 8:00 to 2:00.  Familiar long time vendors will be there as well as some interesting new vendors, and specialty vendors like BETTERFINDS.  Check the maps posted on the MARKET MEMO boards to find your favorite vendors, as some have changed locations.
