There’s more to outdoor cooking than just hot dogs and s’mores.

Learn great tips about what oils, seasonings, and other ingredients to use when camping, grilling or using your patio fire pit.First on the agenda will be instruction on how to use a camp stove and get a good fire going.Then Chef Dawn Bause will walk you through simple ways to prepare a fabulous outdoor meal with ingredients you caught, grew or purchased locally.You’ll get sent home with a cookbook and tips to use on your own.

No registration required.  Just show up!  The Rec 101: Intro to Healthy Outdoor Cooking is FREE, however a Recreation Passport is required for vehicles entering the park. The Recreation Passport has replaced motor vehicle permits for entry into Michigan State Parks and is available when renewing your license plate tabs at the Secretary of State or at any State Park office.  For more information:               www.michigan.gov/stateparks

Joe, the closed sign was in the window because Chocolates by Renee was closed for the day. The forRead More rent sign was in the window because the space holds more then one business. The other space that the chocolate store does not occupy is available to rent.

Journo101 mistake here. Always verify a closure with the owner or valid source before publishing.Read More Mistakes like this can be incredibly costly for a small business owner. The for rent sign has been there for over a year, same with the closed sign. Spend time in your city everyone, and you'll know whats going on before you see it online!
