Senior Jenni Borawski controlled the cross on the first touch and fired an outside-of-the-foot shot into the side netting.

At the 27-minute mark, Jenni Borawski tallied her second goal of the game; this time on a great header. Cheslik again fought hard to win the ball in the left hand corner. After gaining control, she passed back to senior Mallory Weber who was available for support. Weber then turned and played a cross deep into the box where Borawski flicked the header passed shocked Ann Arbor keeper.

At the 30-minute mark, Sophomore Cheslik would get her second assist of the day when she fed a through ball to a sprinting Junior Emily Bush.As the keeper cam out on Bush her last touched flicked the ball past the sprawled Pioneer keeper.

During the second half, Sophomore Megan Buckingham was dragged down in the box by an Ann Arbor defender earning a penalty kick.                   Buckingham calmly shot a low hard line drive past the keeper for the final tally of the game Junior Kiki Hilmer and Freshmen Emily Maresh split time in net for the Northville shutout.

Northville now moves to 12-0-4 (7-0-1 KLAA Central) Ann Arbor Pioneer moves to 10-2-2   Next Game is May 15 at South Lyon East at 6 p.m.

"Pioneer was another good measuring stick today," Brucker said. "Their only other loss was to Canton (another KLAA opponent). It gave us a chance to see the kind of talent from other conferences. We have spent a lot of time the last couple of practices on getting better shots and getting more shots on frame. Today showed a little bit of that work."

He added, "The first two goals were two of the prettiest of the season. The two forwards (Cheslik & Weber)  and an outside midfielder (Borawski) all on the same page to create a great scoring opportunity. It was great to watch. The third and fourth goals were all about effort. Bush was not gonna let that defender get the last touch. Buckingham earned that penalty kick by driving hard to the net even in the closing minutes of the game. Now we turn our attention to finishing out our last two division games on the road."
