Northville Cross Country Wins Regional Championship

Northville High School's boys cross country team won its first regional title since 1978.

The Northville High School boys cross country team won its Division 1 regional championship Saturday at Belleville's Willow Metropark.

This is the team's first regional title since 1978.

“What separates this group is their chemistry,” Coach Chris Cronin told MLive.com. “To a runner, their approach has been: ‘How do we get better as a team?'"

The Northville runners to finish in the top 10 were:

  • Dan Sims (15:56.3, third)
  • Sean McCullough (16:06.3, seventh)
  • Conor Naughton (16:08, eighth)
